Iron Man other Suicide squad Producer Charles Roven believes that multiple Superman projects can exist at the same time.
Since the critical and financial failure of League of Justice In 2017, the state of DC’s Extended Universe has been a disaster. Many projects have been delayed, reworked, or canceled entirely, and several actors left the franchise entirely. One of the biggest questions on everyone’s mind is what will happen to Henry Cavill’s version of Superman.
Since the launch of League of Justice, Henry Cavill has yet to appear as Superman has not even talked about a cameo for Shazam! falling apart. Since then, Warner Bros. and DC have been unable to confirm the actor’s departure from the role with Suicide squad Director James Gunn is unsure which version of Superman Bloodsport he shot prior to the events of the film. The company has apparently gotten around the trouble by developing other versions of the character and adding other Kryptonians to the DC Extended Universe. A new Superman project is in development with JJ Abrams and a version of Supergirl is slated to appear in the next Ezra Miller movie. The flash. Regardless of what happens to Henry Cavill’s version of the character, producer Charles Roven seems to think that all of these Superman projects can coexist.
Charles Roven has produced several DC adaptations since The beginning of batman in 2005. He was also a producer on the 2013 film, Iron Man and participated in the casting of the star Henry Cavill. As he spoke of the DC Universe as a whole with Comicbook.com, the producer talked about the multiple characters of Batman, Superman, and how they could all exist at the same time, but also stated that it was only linked to the Superman projects that grew out of Iron Man:
“If you are going to agree with a filmmaker’s vision, you have to allow multiple visions. You can’t have it any other way. Not everyone is going to think alike. And so I think if someone brought you a cohesive vision, it’s my understanding, and I might be wrong because I haven’t read the script or whatever, but even in The Flash, which supposedly has multiple Batman’s, it has something of a cohesive vision of the universe that has been created since Ezra [Miller] has been playing The Flash. So, they are not saying ‘Never’ to anything and I like that. It has to work. Do you know what I’m saying? It has to work. You have to be able to say, ‘This is what I’m really going to offer and then it has to work.’
Frankly, the comics this is all based on, the canon that this is all based on has never done it. [said, ‘Never’]. They’ve been able to take amazing shots and listen, see what Geoff Johns has done in helping to create the New 52, when canon was getting a bit stale. And look what … He did it again when he created all the different Lanterns, not just one Green Lantern. I mean, why shouldn’t I be able to do that in the film medium, in the film medium?
I’m just attached to everything that stems from Man of Steel. So once Henry Cavill is no longer a part of Superman, then I will not be attached to Superman. Right now, I think I am now linked to the Justice League. I’m attached to Wonder Woman and I’m attached to The Suicide Squad. “
