South Africa’s dominance of set and break set pieces set the stage for a convincing 30-15 win against Scotland Murrayfield on Saturday.

South African winger Makazole Mapimpi scored two tries, but it was the tourist striker’s dominance that laid the groundwork for a resounding 30-15 win against Scotland in the fall game of the international series at Murrayfield on Saturday.

The Springbok pack put up a powerful set-kick performance and broke into an impressive show of brute force.

Home captain Stuart Hogg scored two excellent tries to become the national team’s all-time top scorer, while opener Finn Russell added a penalty and a transformation, but also missed a series of simple shots on goal.

World champion Boks, who was down 10-8 at half-time, has won two consecutive fall series victories after defeating Wales last weekend and finishing against England at Twickenham next weekend, while Scotland host Japan.
