MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said on Wednesday that Mexico is in an entirely new phase of relations with the United States, a day after meeting with U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, in Mexico City.
In a press conference with López Obrador, Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said that the head of National Security of the United States, Alejandro Mayorkas, would come to Mexico on June 14 to talk about the gradual reopening of the border between the United States and Mexico.
The Mexican government’s discussions with Mayorkas would take place on June 15, Ebrard said.
