Windows 10 users are experiencing problems with the Microsoft Store as the app cannot download and install apps and hangs after repeated attempts.

When trying to download apps from the Microsoft Store, users see a page that loads or freezes. Specifically, nothing happens when users click the “Get” button to download applications or games.

Eventually the Microsoft Store will crash completely and can only be closed via Task Manager or using ALT + F4 if the window is active.

When it fails, an error message is logged in Event Viewer, stating that the Windows Store cannot interact with the operating system.

This outage started in the past four hours, according to reports seen by Bleeping Computer.

It is unknown if this is a planned maintenance activity, an issue due to Windows 10 cumulative update, or Microsoft Azure networks are experiencing issues.

This is a story in development and will be updated as more information becomes available.
