Man Utd manager José Mourinho has dealt another blow to his board by stating that Everton have the same ‘ambition’ as the Red Devil this season.
United, who only spent £70m during the summer transfer window on Fred and Diogo Dalot, but Mourinho was furious that his board failed to sign at least one centre-back.
United executive vice-president Ed Woodward quashed Mourinho’s defensive options and the Red Devil made a slow start to the season, leaning on tenth position in the major league table.
Mourinho has made several digs at his board since the start of the season praising West Ham’s scouting network and Juventus’ strength in depth.
However, the Portuguese assured that his rival on Sunday, Everton, has the same ‘ambition’ as United.
