It is Comic-Con @ Home weekend, and while, for the most part, scam news has been pretty slow on the movie side, some of your favorite TV shows have gotten juicy panels. Of course, one of the longest running shows of all time, at this point, it has to be The Simpsons, with them starting season thirty-three in September 26. And now, via the Comic-Con panel, it has been revealed that the season begins on a musical note, with them doing a full-blown musical episode. That’s cool I guess ???
The episode called “The backstage star, “is described as having wall-to-wall music, with none other than Kristen Bell stepping in as Marge’s voice, which strikes me as a waste as I prefer to hear Julie Kavner sing in Marge’s real voice, but I’m digressing Another episode called “A serious Flanders, “ pays tribute to broadcast television and (I presume) the Coen brothers, with appearances by none other than Timothy Olyphant and Brian Cox. There will also be an oversized episode of “the house of the tree of terror, “with them showing one of the segments during the panel. It featured the legendary Maurice LaMarche (Pinky and the Brain) making Vincent Price reading Maggie a bedtime story.
Although I must admit that I tapped outside of The Simpsons Long ago, I am still happy that the show has managed to maintain a devoted audience for over thirty years. Of course, I still watch classics from the first decade on Disney +, but I think I’m a traditionalist. in that sense. It is the longest-running American animated series, the longest-running American sitcom, and the longest-running scripted American primetime series, and it’s hard to imagine anyone even Family man, it will never challenge your record.
