Enyimba head coach Finidi George reflected on the club’s Naija Super Eight playoff victory over Heartland at Eket Township Stadium on Saturday night.
Murphy Ndukwu scored the winner for the Nigerian Premier League champions after 24 minutes.

Naija Super 8’s Twitter user posted Finidi’s reaction to the win.
“We knew it would be difficult,” Finidi said.
“Happy we won but not happy with the way we played, especially in the second half. In general, we had opportunities to score a second goal, but I’m not happy with the play. We were lucky they didn’t get a draw,” the tweet reads.
With the win, Enyimba will represent the South East Zone in the Naija Super Eight finals in Lagos.
Lobi Stars, Remo Stars, and Yobe Stars also qualified for the competition.
Lobi Stars defeated City FC 4-3 on penalties after drawing 2-2 on Friday.
Remo Stars beat Shooting Stars 3-0 while Yobe Stars beat Gombe Stars 2-1.
The remaining teams will secure their place in the Super Eight tournament on Sunday.
The Naija Super Eight tournament will take place at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, from July 7-16.
