Don’t judge a book by its cover? That’s the premise of Netflix’s wildly unique new dating show. Sexy beastsin which loners are transformed into creatures with top-notch prosthetics and see if they find a romantic connection.
The trailer came out on Wednesday, June 23rd, giving an idea of what we can expect when the show premieres, including some jokes aside fancy costumes. Each episode will feature a new eligible bachelor or bachelor seeking the next love in his life based solely on personality. They will be dating three potential love encounters, but there is a catch: because, in the end, we will only see the chosen person revealing their true appearance.

Featuring an international cast of truly brilliant characters, a multitude of prostheses that look extraordinary in 4K and with Rob Delaney a real pleasure awaits the audience while narrating, ” Simon Welton, creator and executive producer of Lion TV, told Diversity… “I hope the show will put a smile on people’s faces as they play together to find out who’s going to fall in love with whom and what our actors really look like.”
During dating, questions are not forbidden, as hopeful singles try to find a mate. “I want to marry. I want to have children before I turn 26. Do you have health insurance? asked one woman dressed as a panda in the trailer as her date stared blankly at her.
Nick Catliff, Chief Content Manager of Lion TV and Richard Bradley, Lion TV’s chief creative officer, said they were delighted to create a new show “that is fun, frivolous and totally original, which is exactly what we all need in these strange times.” They added, “It’s a pleasure working with a streamer. [Netflix] which supports genuine creativity and risk taking across genres. Putting together an ambitious transatlantic dating show during the pandemic was a huge challenge for all of us at Lion, but we’re thrilled with how it turned out. “
Netflix has ordered two seasons of the series for six episodes, which will premiere on July 21. Subsequent episodes are expected to hit the platform later this year.
