The 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E is entering its second year of production as an excellent all-rounder in the thriving and competitive EV category. The Mustang Mach-E is not the fastest, the most powerful, nor the highest range available. It’s certainly not the cheapest either, as Tesla Model 3 and VW ID.4 have lower list prices than a base Mustang Mach-E.

Additionally, purists may have trouble with the Mustang name, and it’s the first time in over five decades that Ford has expanded the Mustang family to include a slightly tall crossover. You can call it a marketing gimmick, but the Mustang Mach-E remains an excellent choice if you want a new electric vehicle or are looking to get your feet wet in the electrified genre.

Ford Mustang Mach-E 2022: what’s new?

The Ford Mustang Do something unveiled at the end of 2019 and it is still a relatively new model. However, Ford has increased usable battery capacity for both Standard Range and Extended Range batteries. Initially available with a 68 kWh and 88 kWh battery, all Mach-E 2022 models now have a 70.0 kWh (standard) or 91.0 kWh (extended) battery.

Of course, higher battery capacity means more usable range, but the EPA has yet to determine the Mach-E 2022’s estimated range, so we’ll stick to the EPA’s opening figures for now (more details below). Other changes include a new AWD option for the California Route 1 trim, more standard features, new paint colors, and a Ice White Edition for the premium set-up.
