Nikki Bella has apologized for the video of the insult to the late WWE legend Chyna that has appeared.

Nikki Bella

The Total Bellas star reacted after a video in which Nikki and her twin sister Bree, in a 2013 episode of Fashion Police, joked with host Joan Rivers about the star who died of an overdose at the age of 46 in 2016.

In the video, the former wrestler laughed: “We don’t know if it’s a man or a woman.”

After the clip appeared on social media, Nikki said in a statement, “I want to sincerely apologize for the comment I made over 8 years ago about Fashion Police.

“I am very sorry and embarrassed by my 29-year-old self, who offended Chyna and, in turn, harmed her family and others. I would like to take this back.

“Please learn from me, don’t hurt someone’s feelings with meaningless laughter.

“China will always be remembered as an icon and a pioneer who helped create the opportunities for women in wrestling that exist today. Thank you, China! (Sic) “

In addition to the WWE women’s title, the late star also became the first female holder of the Intercontinental Championship, and she remains the only woman in history to do so.

Chyna defeated the likes of Triple H, Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho and became the first woman to compete in both the Royal Rumble and the King of the Ring.

Her official social media account responded to the Bella Twins video that came up, and while they deleted the original response, they shared another before Nikki apologized. They wrote, “This video from @BellaTwins is disrespectful. Chyna would have suffered from this. But we’ll just show love. “

They later added, “Nikki has apologized on her page and privately. It was sincere. Please stop attacking her.

“Her apology was also conveyed to the family. She grew up as a person. There is no hatred or ill will. Please support each other, do not destroy. Chyna believed in forgiveness (sic). “
