Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, has said the former captain of India’s national cricket team doesn’t need any rest as he is “perfectly fine”.
Kohli’s fight for runs continued in the recently concluded single test against England. The modern-day great was able to score just 11 runs in the first inning before being sacked by Matthew Potts and 20 runs in the second inning before being sacked by Ben Stokes.

Also, India lost the rescheduled test against England by 7 wickets after England, led by Ben Stokes, chased down the goal in the fourth inning after good performances from openers Alex Lees and Zak Crawley and centuries from Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow.
So, Virat Kohli has lost his place in the top 10 of the latest ICC men’s test batting rankings, published on Wednesday. It is the first time since November 2016 that Kohli has dropped out of the top 10.
I have full faith in him and he will be back with a bang – Rajkumar Sharma on Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli’s boyhood coach Rajkumar Sharma said the ball on which Kohli lost his wicket in the second innings of the Edgbaston test was unplayable. He added that Kohli has done things for India that no other player has done and he was confident the star batsman would come back strong.
“Look, I understand that he (Virat Kohli) hasn’t had a brilliant performance for a long time, but that happens to all good players. The ball on which he lost his wicket in the second innings of the fifth Test against England was really great and could have sent any batsman off. There is no need to give Virat a break as he is perfectly fine,” Sharma told ANI.
“Whatever he has done for the India team so far, no other player has been able to do it. I have full faith in him and he will come back strong,” he added.
Virat Kohli along with Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant rested for the three-match ODI series against West Indies, to be played after the 6-match limited series between India and England. .
