Nole reaches the semi-finals of the Rolex Paris Masters – Novak Djokovic


World number 1 and five-time former champion Novak Djokovic has booked a seat in the Rolex Paris Masters semifinals on Friday, after the 6-4, 6-3 triumph over Taylor Fritz.

The match lasted one hour and 14 minutes.

Novak had a two-time counterattack advantage against the American serving the great in the opening set, but needed the crucial third break to close it.

Fritz broke first in the second set, but Djokovic responded with a double break to seal his 980th career win.

Match statistics: ace (8-5), double fouls (3-4), winners (22-15), unforced errors (15-22), total points won (63-43).

Novak will face seventh-seeded Hubert Hurkacz (H2H 2-0) on Saturday.

The Pole beat Aussie James Duckworth 6-2, 6-7, 7-5 to advance to the semifinals.
