Nigerian Premier League 2022/2023 top scorer Chukwuemeka Obioma will join Tunisian side Esperance from Enyimba FC.
Obioma sent Enyimba International FC to the Nigerian Premier League title last season, his ninth in history to extend his record as the country’s most successful.
The forward scored 14 goals during the abbreviated league season before adding two more in the Super Six Playoffs to finish as the league’s top scorer.
Chukwuemeka Obioma is expected to undergo mandatory medical tests in Tunisia today after reaching an agreement with Esperance, who beat rivals Zamelek until the signing of the forwards.
According to multiple sources, the deal will become official in the next 48 hours, a loss for the Elefantes del Pueblo who will play in the CAF Champions League next season.
