OnePlus has launched its first smartwatch at a virtual event alongside the OnePlus 9 series. The smartwatch is priced at Rs 16,999. It comes with a 46mm round dial with a 2.5D curved glass AMOLED display. Under the hood, it has 4GB separate storage and runs on an RTOS-based operating system. It has over 110 training modes with automatic training detection for workouts like jogging and running. It is rated 5 ATM and IP68 for water and dust resistance.
It has a stainless steel body with a shiny CD pattern on the screen in a unibody design. The strap material used is fluoroelastomer in the standard edition and leather in the Cobal limited edition. The standard variant also comes with a stainless steel case in Midnight Steel and Midnight Black colors, while the Cobalt edition comes with a cobalt alloy case in gold.
Training modes and monitors
The 110 training modes include key modes such as walking, jogging, running, marathon, outdoor cycling, indoor cycling, freestyle training, swimming, elliptical, elliptical, rowing machine, badminton, mountaineering, outdoor orientation, yoga, cricket and others. It comes with monitors like SpO2 monitoring, stress detection, breathing, rapid heart rate alert, and sedentary reminder. The blood oxygen saturation monitor is useful, especially in times of Covid-19. OnePlus says it has fast and accurate positioning. The smartwatch is equipped with independent GPS with four satellite positioning. Users can check their health data in the OnePlus Health app.
The OnePlus Watch allows users to make hands-free calls, access app notifications, phone settings, and control the camera shutter. OnePlus phone users have direct access to Zen mode and gallery. Users can also control the music from the smartwatch and listen to it using any Bluetooth device.
The unique feature of OnePlus Watch is that it also works as a controller for OnePlus TV. Users can control the volume, the browser through the content using the clock. The watch can detect that the person has fallen asleep and turns the TV off after 30 minutes. Also, lower the volume of the TV when there is an incoming call.
Battery and charging
OnePlus Watch can last up to two weeks on a full charge. It comes with Warp Charge technology. Charging the watch for 20 minutes provides a seven-day charge, while a five-minute charge gives a one-day charge.
