Reinhart, 25, tied a career-high with 25 goals last season and hit the 40-point plateau for the sixth year in a row. In Florida, Reinhart joins a Panthers team coming off his best performance of the regular season, where he will sit in a forward core that includes stars Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau.
Levi, 19, was a freshman at Northeastern University last season but did not appear in a game. He was the starter for Canada’s silver medal-winning team at the 2021 World Junior Hockey Championships and posted a .964 save percentage with three shutouts in seven games in that tournament.
The move comes hours after the Sabers traded another franchise cornerstone, Rasmus Ristolainen, to the Philadelphia Flyers. The Sabers made two first-round draft picks on Friday: defender Owen Power first overall and right wing Isak Rosen 14th overall.
