We have launched ours 2021 LOTI Heroes Campaign and this year we’re giving you the chance to get directly involved with some of the fantastic brands and companies we’ve featured. Founded by Alice Moxley, Pivot is an award-winning social enterprise that blends its love of creation and technical knowledge with its passion for supporting those living homeless. The organization offers people a way to change their lives through the design, manufacture and sale of jewelry and provides coaching and financial support to enable people to find meaningful work. And we teamed up with them for a very stylish jewelry making workshop, hosted at the London Fields outpost of Second house, a social enterprise with a mission to support creativity and entrepreneurship by creating global workspaces and cultural venues to bring together diverse industries and disciplines.
Two of the Pivot program graduates, Jason and Makbule, will walk you through the acetate crafting process, which was donated by Cubitts, and teach you how to cut, shape, shape and polish acetate in a unique set of earrings. Not only will you give the waste material a second life, but all the profits from the workshop will be reinvested in Pivot’s social mission to help those living homeless, so you’ll do two good deeds.
Drinks and snacks will be provided at Second house in the evening and in addition to taking home the earrings you make, you will also have a 20% discount on Pivot jewels.
Wed 8 December 2021, 19:00 – 20:30
