Podcast NewsBusters: Journalistic neglect with election coverage

In this episode of the NewsBusters podcast Nick Fondacaro and Curtis Hock examine the negligence of the liberal media in covering last week’s election. They elevate state elections that meet their needs, but relegate them to the status of “local history” when they need to bury them. We also speak to research director Scott Whitlock about whether they’ve clouded the race for the governor of New Jersey.

Sunday, Washington Post correspondent Robert Costa was on ABC This week suggesting that Virginia’s results may have been the work of voter suppression. And let’s look at Newsweek deputy editor Batya Ungar-Sargon politely scold CNN’s Brian Stelter on how liberal media co-opted and abused “awakened” words and phrases against minority communities they claim to help.

Immersing himself in the great work of our research department, Whitlock walks us through his studio of the network blackout of the race in New Jersey. And while we joke that he’s an electoral fortune-teller, he explains that anyone looking at how the polls were doing could easily pick up on the trends they saw.

Also, let’s close with a look at another study; this on the media ignoring the implosion of the infamous and debunked Steele dossier. They gave him 2,634 minutes between January 20, 2017 and July 20, 2019, but ZERO from last week’s developments. So there was no mention of Tuesday’s revelation that President Biden’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan was now implicated.

But we have it all in this episode of NewsBusters Podcast. So, enjoy the podcast below or wherever you like your podcasts.
