President Joe Biden doesn’t exactly come across as a man in charge. Watching any of his speeches for more than a few minutes will lead you to believe that he is about to eat a happy meal. His colleagues and the media may excuse him until the cows come home, but between his outbursts, constant confusion, and controlled interactions with the public, Biden isn’t exactly selling us as the decision maker.
The Trafalgar Group wanted to see how many people are not convinced that Biden is at the forefront and, indeed, they found that most Americans think that Biden is hardly taking the lead, but rather being led.
As the Daily cable first reported, the findings even show a solid chunk of Democrats aren’t even selling out to Biden being in charge:
56.5% of American voters do not believe that President Biden is fully fulfilling the duties of his office, while 36.4% believe that he is directing all policies and the agenda.
31.7% of Democratic voters do not believe that President Biden is fully fulfilling the duties of his office, while 58.6% believe that he is directing all policies and the agenda.
83.6% of Republican voters do not believe that President Biden is fully fulfilling the duties of his office, while 11% believe that he is directing all policies and the agenda.
58.4% of independent voters do not believe that President Biden is fully fulfilling the duties of his office, while 36.1% believe that he is directing all policies and the agenda.
As the Daily Wire went on to point out, Barack Obama’s own doctor pointed out that something about Biden is not right:
“You don’t have to be a doctor to observe this behavior and see that something worrisome is happening,” Jackson said. “You can go back, there are forty years of recordings of this man, he has always made mistakes and stuff, but they are different, he’s confused, he’s disoriented.
“We all know people who are 100 years old, who are basically as smart as a tactic, and we know people who are in their 60s and who have some cognitive difficulties … and I think he’s on that end of the spectrum.” Jackson continued. “He’s just not aging gracefully right now. I only ask them when they do the physical exam that they include the cognitive assessment. As far as I’m concerned, the standard precedent has been set and they must follow and do the same. “
You have to ask the question. If Biden is that bad at this early stage of his presidency, how bad will he be when it comes time to run for reelection? Will you be able to do it?
An even deeper problem than that will also haunt the Democrats.
It’s going to be hard to get away from the fact that Democrats pushed a man who was unable to stand on his own two feet and had to be controlled by people in the background. The media will have to work overtime to convince Americans that Biden is in full control of his powers, which will become increasingly difficult and obvious as time goes on, putting Americans in an uncomfortable position of wanting to know who your leader really is. From this a distrust will grow, throwing yet another obstacle in the way of the Democrats when the moment of the elections arrives.
If even 37 percent of Democrats don’t believe Biden is actually in charge, then it is unlikely that most Americans will be willing to vote for him again, if he goes that far. What’s more, meanwhile, distrust of Democrats will affect other races, including those in the midterm elections.
Time will tell, and the results of the midterm elections will probably tell us a lot, but the Democrats may have cornered themselves in their desperate attempt to overthrow Donald Trump by inserting a puppet.
