Porsche enters the Top 10, off-market -25.8% – Best Selling Cars Blog

Porsche is among the 10 best-selling car manufacturers in Luxembourg in October.

New car sales in Luxembourg continue to fall -25.8% yoy in October to 2,952 units, bearing in mind October 2020 was already down by -18.6% over the previous year. The volume from the beginning of the year fell negative to -0.2% at 37,963. Mercedes (-28.6%) recovers the top spot in the brand ranking for the second time in the last three months and the third time this year (add January) and this despite falling faster than the market. It holds a superb 13% stake compared to 10.1% this year. # 1 last month, BMW (-15%) drops to No. 2 in October with a share of 10% against 10.4% from the beginning of the year while Peugeot (+ 2.4%) manages to increase year on year to rise by two positions to September at # 3. Volkswagen (-53.9%) and Audi (-44.6%) are both in serious trouble and complete the top 5, but despite that VW easily holds the top spot from the beginning of the year. Hyundai (+ 17.6%) leads in 6th place with Fiat (-5.6%) containing its loss to 8. Porsche (+ 46.2%) offers the best performance in a Top 10 in which it breaks for the first time since we started following the month of Luxembourg in 2018. Lexus (+ 155.6%), Toyota (+72 , 3%), Kia (+56.1%), Smart (+ 36.8%), DS (+ 10.3%) and Nissan (+ 9.7%) shine with gorgeous lifts further down.
