Prediction Angola vs Egypt: World Cup | 11/12/2021

Mohamed Salah will be on the field with Egypt on Friday night as they try to secure a move to the playoffs. They will challenge Angola, already eliminated from the contest for the top of the group.

Preview of World Cup qualifiers

Egypt needs another win to secure passage to the next round of the World Cup qualifying campaign in Africa, and they can do so with a win over Angola on Friday night. They have not missed a step this far and are four points clear at the top of the Group F standings, with Libya being their closest challenger.

Egypt can secure the move with a win against Angola on Friday or a win against Gabon in their final qualifying match. They have been excellent up to this point without being too impressive on the pitch. They only scored six goals but conceded only one in the four games they played. Egypt beat their closest rivals in the last qualifying match, easily beating Libya 3-0 away. Mostafa Mohamed, Ahmed Fattoh and Ramadan Sobhi scored in that comfortable victory.

Angola are the only Group F team officially out of the running for the next round of the campaign. It seems likely that they will end up at the bottom of the standings, as they have only garnered one win and have been defeated on three occasions up to this point.

Angola gave themselves a small chance to reach the next round by beating Gabon in the first qualifying round in the last stop for the national teams. However, they were beaten by the same opponents only three days later, which brought them back to the bottom of the leaderboard and put an end to their dream of reaching the World Cup next year.

Angola vs Egypt head to head

Angola has failed to beat Egypt in six previous attempts. Egypt have won four times during the same series, which includes three wins in the last four fights. However, the two teams drew 3-3 the last time they met in Angola.

Prediction Angola vs Egypt

Angola may have garnered a favorable result the last time the nations met at their home stadium. However, given the form Egypt have been in throughout qualifying, we find it hard to see anything other than a success for the traveling team here.
