With his team facing the historic feat of recovering from a 0-3 deficit in the Stanley Cup final, Montreal Canadiens head coach Dominique Ducharme is considering possible lineup changes. His starting goalkeeper in Game 4 is not one of them.
Carey Price, who has allowed 13 goals on 79 shots during the first three games of the Final, will be in the fold on Monday when the Canadiens look to avoid elimination.
“Carey is the guy who plays Monday,” Ducharme said Saturday. “So if people wonder who will be on the web, Carey will be on the web.”

Price’s heroics were an essential part of the Canadiens’ surprising run to the finals. In the first three rounds of the playoffs, he posted a 2.02 goal percentage versus average and a .924 save percentage with a 12-5 mark.
Although Price will start at the net, Ducharme did not rule out other lineup changes as his team appears to be the second to rebound from a 0-3 deficit in the Stanley Cup final and win.
The last team to do so was the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1942.
“Yes, you can talk one kind or another, it’s about all of us,” Ducharme said. “We need to be better in front of him. All the 20 guys who put on the jersey are looking to play their best game Monday night, that’s all. “
Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final will take place on Monday, with live coverage beginning at 8 pm ET on Sportsnet.
