On Sunday, Senator Rand Paul said Americans must resist possible upcoming closures and mandates due to COVID-19.
Paul made these comments in a video posted on his Twitter account.
“It is time for us to resist,” Paul began.
We are in a moment of truth and at a crossroads. Will we allow these people to use fear and propaganda to cause more harm to our society, economy and children?
Or we will stand together and say, absolutely not. Not this time. I choose freedom. pic.twitter.com/XrI2tjdAHW

Paul on resisting mandates and lockdowns: ‘We can just say no, not again’
“They can’t arrest all of us,” the senator continued. “They cannot stop all their children from going to school. They can’t keep all government buildings closed, although I have a long list of those that they could or should keep closed. “
Paul continued: “We do not have to accept the injunctions, closures and harmful policies of petty tyrants and bureaucrats.”

“We can just say no, not again,” he insisted.
The Kentucky senator then handed the glove over to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
“Nancy Pelosi, you will not arrest me or stop me or any of my staff from doing our job,” Paul said. “Either we have had COVID, we have received the vaccine or they have offered us the vaccine.”
“We will make our own health decisions,” he continued. “We will not show you a passport, we will not wear a mask, we will not be forced to run random tests and tests so that you can continue your drunkenness with purely power over the Capitol.”
Paul then challenged President Joe Biden.
“President Biden, we will not accept the mandates of your agencies or your informed moves toward a shutdown,” the libertarian-leaning senator said.
“No one should follow the CDC’s anti-science mask mandates,” he continued.
Paul said it was important for children to go back to school, noting that “all adults who work in schools have received the vaccine or have had the opportunity to be vaccinated.”
