The former model has decided to pursue a career in public service, becoming a City of London police officer.
The 50-year-old first joined the force in 2020 as a volunteer special agent, then completed her qualifications as a special police officer in April this year, meaning she now has the power to arrest.
According to Good morning Great Britain, Lancaster first became interested in the role after appearing on the British series. Famous crime and fighter in 2019, which paired celebrities with police officers to get an “inside look” on crime fighting.
“When you think of the police, you think of the most violent crimes, but we are there to help the most vulnerable,” Lancaster said recently in an interview with the show.
“At this particular time there are many incidents on the bridges and I helped someone who was very desperate on the bridge the other night,” he continued, adding that he found the police work to be “rewarding in many ways.”
In an interview with The Daily Mail, the TV personality revealed that being a cop is “who I am”.
