Russell crowe he has fired his late father John Alexander Crowe at a memorial service in Coffs Harbor.
John Alexander passed away on March 30. He was 85 years old.

Russell took to Twitter and Instagram on the afternoon of Saturday, June 5, to share snapshots of the memorial service, which took place near the gladiator Star property at Nana Glen in the New South Wales seaside town of Coffs Harbor.
The Thor: love and thunder actor initially shared four images from the service to his Twitter and Instagram without a caption around three in the afternoon, before sharing a video later in the evening.
A chapel, a marquee, and attendees were shown in Russell’s pictures.

So russell shared a video of what appears to be the beginning of the memorial, where guests can be seen sitting and standing, listening to a string quartet. Look up.
“The best quote from the tribute to my father today, my father to his granddaughter,” the 57-year-old wrote in a caption accompanying the video.
“‘Don’t go out with a glass half full, people with a glass half empty … hang out with people who know that the glass can always be refilled.'”

On Friday June 4, Russell shared the moving story behind the chapel that hosted the memorial service.
“Weddings, string quartets, soloists, opera singers, meditation, prayer, yoga … the chapel has hosted many things over the years. Tomorrow it will host its first funeral / memorial,” Russell tweeted on Friday.
“My dad loved this building. He was fascinated with it. I’m pretty sure he would be pleased.”

Russell owns a farm in the region and John Alexander had lived in the same area for the past 25 years.
The father and son duo had been quarantined together at Russell’s farm at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.

Russell requested that, in lieu of flowers, both fans and mourners donate to the Charlie Teo Foundation, an organization that researches and raises awareness about brain cancer, if they wish to pay their respects.
Russell shared the news of John Alexander’s death on Twitter.
John Alexander died suddenly aboard a flight from Sydney to Coffs Harbor in late March.

He had turned 85 just two weeks earlier.
“I returned to the bush last night. Today, although the sun is shining and the torrential rain has subsided, this date will always be tinged with sadness,” Russell wrote.
“My dear old man, my beautiful papa, the gentlest of men, has passed away.”
