Samsung’s Studio Display alternative is coming to the US – News Block

The Samsung ViewFinity S9 5K display will hit US shores in August.

ViewFinity S9 is advertised as a cheap alternative to Apple Studio Display. The company said it will be available to buy starting in August on the official website and select retailers priced at $1,599.99. The difference in cost is 99 cents and the ViewFinity S9 is actually more expensive, but there are additional features such as a height-adjustable stand.

Consumers first got a glimpse of the ViewFinity S9 at CES 2023 and then in South Korea. Now, the company has announced a US arrival date for Studio Display competitor. The two products have identical 27-inch 5K displays, internal speakers, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity. Samsung, however, has a matte finish while Apple sports a reflective and nano-textured finish. The ViewFinity S9 also supports smartphone color calibration via an app.
