The talented singer talked about working with the former POTUS and FLOTUS on his We the People. Netflix Serie. Having said that, SHE called the experience ‘life changing!’
As you may have heard, Michelle and Barack Obama produced a civic animation show filled with educational songs for the younger generation and several well-known names have lent their voices for the tracks, including HER!

The series will have a total of ten musical episodes, each about three minutes long, and will launch tomorrow, July 4.
The tracks will cover a series of different civics lessons so children can learn more about the constitution, their rights, and more!
The other artists working on the project besides ELLA are: Brandi Carlile, Janelle Monáe, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bebe Rexha, KYLE, Adam Lambert, Cordae, Amanda Gorman and Andra Day!

As for what SHE had to say about the unique experience of working with the Obamas, she told ET that “it was more exciting than anything, it made me want to, you know, kill him because they are attached and they are part of it.” . It’s like, wow, you know, I’m part of the Obama thing [did]. It’s kind of a life changer, you know?
The artist also talked about a possible live concert along with all the talents involved, which could happen at some point depending on how well the series does.
It turns out that SHE is definitely not against it and would be disgusted to perform her song on stage.

The singer told the news outlet that it is really crucial that young people become more involved in social and political issues and why, and also explained what We the People is so important to her, personally.
Sometimes you think: ‘I would like to believe in my generation and the youngest, we are going to set the tone for the future and it is up to us to be informed.’ I think children are going to start to be more proactive and not reactive and they will really take control of our future. And we will learn from those things that we learned in the past, and we will make a difference and make a change when they know that they can, that they have the power to do it, and this project is going to empower people. I mean, it empowered me, ” he said in part.
