Scott derrickson (Dr. Strange, sinister) returns to the horror genre to direct the Black phone for Blumhouse and Universal, and the movie was already a Sinister meeting with Ethan hawke recently joined the cast. Besides that, THR reports tonightBy Hawke Sinister co-star James ransone (It: Chapter Two) also signed up to meet with Derrickson.
The cast also includes Jeremy davies (“Hannibal”), Mason thames other Madeleine mcgraw.
Derrickson and frequent contributor Robert Cargill (Bermuda, Doctor Strange, Sinister) adapted the script based on the Joe Hill story.
Cargill recently teased the plot., “A kidnapped child. A creepy and soundproof basement. An old, disconnected phone. Then when night falls the phone rings. “
Derrickson, Cargill and Jason Blum, for Blumhouse, are producing the film. Universal and Blumhouse will present Crooked Highway Productions. Joe Hill is Executive Producer
