SEOUL – Actress Song Hye-kyo triumphantly returned to the small screen on Friday with her premiere television drama in two years, SBS ‘”Now we’re breaking up”.
The first episode recorded the highest number of viewers of all the Friday-Saturday dramas that aired in those two days.
The first screening on Friday marked a national average rating of 6.4 and a peak of 8.4%. Ratings improved the next day, with the second episode achieving a nationwide viewing score of 8.0 percent and a peak of 10.5 percent.
“Young Lady and Gentleman,” KBS prime time weekend drama, ranked No. 1 among all the TV programs on Saturday.
The 16-part melodrama series “Now We Are Breaking Up”, directed by Lee Gil-bok, centers on the love story between the leader of the design team of a fashion company Ha Young-eun (Song) and the famous freelance photographer Yoon Jae-gook (Jang Ki Yong).
The series began with a child-proof episode in which Young-eun and Jae-gook have an unexpected one-night stand. Although the two characters do not know each other, fate continues to bring them together.
