The option to download songs from Spotify to your Apple Watch seems to be finally rolling out for all Spotify Premium subscribers.
As reported by Gadgets and wearables, several users have reported that they have obtained the feature in the last few days. It is rolling out for users around the world, so you should expect to have access to the new feature in the next week, as long as the company doesn’t discover some kind of major bug with the update.
As reported by a crowd of users, within the last day or so many people have started to see the Apple Watch download option. Most of those who haven’t had access to downloads before are getting the update, but not all. Presumably, the rest of the user base will get the new version in the next few days.
The update has reached users in the US, Germany, Austria, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Portugal, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries. Many of these only got the software update in the last 24 hours. But it appears to be a definite acceleration of global deployment.
Spotify had originally announced offline playback for the Apple Watch in May. It’s now July, so the company obviously didn’t roll out the feature for everyone right away. It seems that the company decided on a gradual rollout that can be helpful in catching any issues before the feature gets into everyone’s hands.
The version of the Spotify app You need to use the feature is version 126.96.36.1998, so if you don’t have it yet, you can check the App Store to see if it’s already available for download.
If you want to enjoy the feature, you will need an Apple Watch to accompany it. Check out our list of the best Apple Watch 2021 to find which one is right for you.
