Sri Lanka came to bat in the first innings and after a long time their starting partner came out early. Sri Lanka’s leading run scorer in this tournament was Pathum Nissanka, but in the finals, he managed to score just 23 runs off 33 balls.
Kusal Mendis and Sahan Arachchige made an important partnership for the 72-run third wicket, and after this, they lost wickets easily.
For the first time in this Tournament, Sri Lanka went all out and they scored 233 runs on the scoreboard in 47.5 overs. Sahan Arachchige scored 57 runs off 71 balls, while Kusal Mendis scored 43 runs.

The Netherlands got off to a poor start in the second innings as they lost five wickets in the Powerplay. The Netherlands openers tried to stand on the wicket and got the team off to a good start, but went out early.
