Summer Game Fest Kick-Off Live was the firstshow, and it all started with a bang. The big reveal of the event was From Software’s Elden Ring, which was developed with the help of Game of Thrones creator George RR Martin.
Hosted by Geoff Keighley, Thursday’s nearly two-hour Summer Game Fest launch live show featured new game reveals, updates to popular games, and new indie titles coming out soon. Big debuts alongside Elden Ring include Gearbox Entertainment’s Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Death Stranding Director’s Cut, and a sneak peek at Call of Duty Cold War season 4.
The Wonders of Tiny Tina
Gearbox kicked off the show with a new game from the Borderlands universe, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. He is a looter shooter voiced by Andy Samberg, Wanda Sykes, and Will Arnett. While this features Tiny Tina, which was introduced in Borderlands 2, the game itself will not play like a Borderlands game.
Metal Slug Tactics slows down classic arcade run and shoot game
Metal Slug is a long-running arcade franchise that is getting a whole new experience. Metal Slug Tactics takes the characters from the series and puts them in a strategy RPG.
Death Stranding Director Cut
Hideo Kojima made a brief appearance to talk about the pandemic and also revealed the director’s cut of Death Stranding. The teaser was a tribute to the Metal Gear series with Sam Porter trying on a box similar to Solid Snake. The director’s cut of the game will be released “soon”.
Jeff Goldblum presents Jurassic Park Evolution 2
Jeff Goldblum, the star of two Jurassic Park films, made an appearance to showcase the game’s upcoming sequel, Jurassic Park Evolution 2.
The first game came out in 2018 and allows players to build and manage their own Jurassic Park.
Call of Duty Season 4 Information
Call of Duty Cold War season 3 comes to an end on June 15, which means the next season is on its way. A teaser showed some of the new maps and content coming to multiplayer, zombie mode and Warzone.
No details on the upcoming Call of Duty game were revealed.
Ryan Reynolds talks about the movie Free Guy
The video game movie Free Guy was originally supposed to come out last summer, but after multiple delays, it will finally arrive on August 13. Reynolds, who stars in the film, made an appearance to offer a new trailer.
Salt and Sacrifice brings back the original 2D Souls game
Shuhei Yoshida from Sony to present the sequel to one of the first Dark Souls-like games, Salt and Sacrifice. The original Salt and Sanctuary game came out in 2016 with gameplay similar to the Souls games but in 2D. Salt and Sacrifice features similar action and graphics, and will launch in 2022.
Take part in a real battle of vampires in Blood Hunt
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is supposed to be out this year, but a world-based multiplayer game is also coming. Players will fight to see which vampire survives. There’s a registration page for those interested in participating in the alppha.
More Among Us cosmetics
If you are still playing Among Us, there will be more content for players. This includes a new map, more cosmetics, and achievements.
Eleven, Demogorgon and Hopper from Stranger Things are heading to Smite
Smite, the free multiplayer online battleground game (MOBA), features gods fighting each other in League of Legends-like 3D team combat. The MOBA will get some new characters from Netflix’s Stranger Things series along with an upside down map. The content is coming in the next battle pass for the game on July 13, in time for.
House of Ashes is here to scare you
The Dark Pictures Anthology’s third entry, House of Ashes, arrives just before Halloween in October. 22. The horror adventure game will put players in the role of American soldiers trying to survive. Each choice that is made will determine that everything will live and who will die.
Evil Dead The Game lets players be good or bad
The iconic horror comedy franchise has a new multiplayer game on the way. This time, players can take control of demons to feast on humans.
Finally, Elden Ring
The finale of the show was From Software’s Elden Ring. The developer worked with Game of Throne creator George RR Martin on the game, which fans have been anticipating for years since it was first announced. At the end of the trailer came Elden Ring launch day: January 21, 2022.
