September is just around the corner and we all know what that means; back to school shopping. After hosting your children at home for over a year, it can seem like a daunting task to go out into the world and buy backpacks and notebooks. Fortunately, I know that searching for school supplies can be overwhelming even in normal times. So look no further! I’ve put together a list of the best back-to-school supplies to reduce some of the stress this time of year can cause.
While compiling this list for you, I prioritized safe products, good reviews, multi-age options, and of course great design options and color patterns as well. Some of the prices may take a toll on the decals, but remember, most of these items are made to last for several years, reducing the need for annual replacement. Hello, slow fashion!

Porter Utensil Set
Personally, I can’t stand single-use plastic cutlery and straws, which is why I love the Porter utensil sets. Compact, light and resistant, they can also be washed in the dishwasher. The carrying case ensures that it will keep your cutlery clean and when it is dirty you have a cover, just toss it in your backpack or purse. What else do you need?
Lunchbots Big Threesome Pack

Back to school supplies
Next, I dive into the best back-to-school supplies for nap supplies. While your high school or college student may want to take a nap during class, this list is definitely geared toward your little ones.
Lovevery nap mat
I’m not going to lie, I spent more time than necessary researching nap mats. My son Liam has very sensitive skin and can be inflamed by harsh chemicals. I love that East from Loververy It has organic cotton but a much more affordable price than the other organic cotton options on the market.
Toddler pillow with avocado mattress
If your toddler is in school and only needs a pillow and a sheet this is my option. I love the size and again you can be sure they are clean and safe products. Safe, non-toxic and breathable, Avocado fills its organic toddler pillow with GOLS certified 100% organic latex and GOTS certified 100% organic kapok fiber. Then they sew it all together with a soft 100% organic GOTS certified cotton. Sounds like a must-have on this list of the best back-to-school supplies.
Kyte, crib sheet
These crib sheets they’re my go-to for kids, plus the fitted sheet works great with a crib. They are the softest and most temperature regulating, so if you have a warm-blooded child they will be perfectly happy in this sheet made of bamboo, cotton and spandex.
We know that in adulthood it is important to drink six to eight glasses of water a day. But do you know how much your kids should drink? As a general rule of thumb, toddlers should have two to four cups, children ages four to eight should drink five cups, and children and tweens (ages nine to 13) should have seven to eight cups. This brings me to the next item on the list of the best back-to-school supplies; water bottles.
This is perfect for the little ones. What i love about Thermus It’s how light and easy to clean they are, and the straw is removable so you can really clean the spout. However, it is recommended to clean and dry by hand. I found that they are cleaned by hand anyway. Another cool feature is that the straw is covered to help keep it germ-free when not in use. but the best part is that it doesn’t leak.
Hydro Flask Wide Mouth Kids Water Bottle
These things can take a beating (trust me, we’ve put them to the test). They really do a wonderful job of keeping liquids cool, and I like the amount of water they retain. A word to the wise though, they won’t fit a standard cup holder if that’s a deal breaker for you. But one advantage is that they do not contain BPA.
Yeti Rambler with Chug Cap
If you are looking for something that holds more water for an older child or teenager, give it the Yeti Rambler with Chug Cap a try. This water bottle has its mouth wide open and gets high marks for keeping beverages hot or cold for several hours. The wide mouth is the perfect size, allowing you to add ice cubes if you like without being too wide and difficult to drink. Your child will feel able to express himself with this back-to-school bottle, thanks to the variety of colors that range from bright and bold to more muted.
As a parent, you may have a lot of concerns when it comes to sending your children back to school after a pandemic. I get it, we have a lot to consider this year. These bold colors and modern prints come in sizes for adults and children. What does these a great success on the playground are adjustable ear straps. I can’t forget the adorable designs and I love how they enhance my son’s outfits. If you have to wear them, they might look good, right? Bonus points for the organic cotton and wire nose shape and the 3-pack, because we all know they’re going to get lost.
