The actor commented on the show’s Instagram post pledging their support.
On Wednesday, an Instagram post from the show read: “The General Hospital stands in solidarity with the trans community.” It included a link to GLAAD for additional resources and information on trans issues.
The sharing comes after Rademacher was called in to share a transphobic social media post over the weekend. On her Instagram, she retweeted a meme about the misgender of the openly transgender four-star first officer and highest ranking trans official, Dr. Rachel Levine calling her “dude.”
After trans actress Cassandra James, who played trans doctor Terry Randolph in “GH” since 2018, was along with several other costars in beating Rademacher, took to his social media to say he was sorry he didn’t delete “friend”, but claimed he didn’t “think it was ok” to “call a transgender woman a licensed woman.”
Meanwhile, Rademacher also commented on the show’s solidarity post Wednesday writing, “Hey GH family. I am also with the trans community and have said that for many years. I also apologized for being insensitive to the trans community with mine. comment”.
“I am a man of integrity and I will support my mistakes,” he continued. “Nor do I delete the posts and pretend they didn’t happen. Peace and love to everyone. I pray for a world where no one is ever afraid to come out.”
Maurice Benard, who plays Sonny Corinthos on “GH”, replied, writing, “Thank you, Ingo, sometimes we can turn a wrong situation into a positive awareness”.
James also commented on GH’s initial post, sharing “💙💗💗💙”
On Monday, TooFab confirmed that Rademacher is out at “General Hospital” and his latest episode will air on November 22nd. As for why he’s out, it’s largely due to his refusal to abide by the show’s vaccine mandate, which went into effect earlier this month.
