The Internet Turns Adam Levine’s Cheating Accusations Into Memes

Maroon 5’s Adam Levine has been in the hot seat since the cheating allegations surfaced earlier this week. But it looks like the “Payphone” musician isn’t breaking a sweat.

Levine appeared to be getting through the scandal almost unscathed in new photos with his pregnant wife Behati Prinsloo. on Wednesday, TMZ published photos of the singer with Prinsloo in Montecito, California, both wearing their wedding rings, exchanging smiles and holding hands.

TMZ reported that there are “really no apparent signs of tension between” the couple, despite recent cheating claims.

Levine’s professional life also doesn’t seem affected by the claims. Maroon 5 heads to Las Vegas on October 1. 1 for “The Event”, a charity event organized by the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation, where they will perform alongside HER, Maren Morris, John Mulaney and Pitbull.

The drama began on Monday when Instagram model Sumner Stroh, 23, alleged on TikTok that she had been “having an affair with a man who is married to a Victoria’s Secret model”. She said he was Levine, 43, and shared screenshots of her private messages.

A day later, Levine denied Stroh’s claims of an affair.

“There is a lot of talk about me right now and I want to set the record straight,” Levine said in a post on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday. “I used poor judgment in speaking to anyone other than my wife in ANY flirtatious way. I didn’t have an affair, however I did cross the line during an unfortunate period of my life.”

Levine could have cleared things up, but more women came forward with alleged flirty messages from the singer.

The Maroon 5 frontman’s DMs recently became an internet meme, with Twitter users altering and applying Levine’s allegedly risque texts to video game characters, danny devito other Peter Griffin from “Family Guy”.

Previous comments he made about cheating also came to light amid Levine’s alleged infidelity.

When Cosmopolitan magazine asked him, “Why do guys cheat?” in 2009, Levine said, “monogamy is not in our genetic makeup.”

“People cheat. I cheated,” she said. “And you know what? There’s nothing worse than the feeling of doing it.”

Times staff writer Christie D’Zurilla contributed to this report.
