The NFL and NFLPA are working on a way to identify unvaccinated players during games and practices, according to a report.
Pro Football Talk says the two groups are working on the details for providing visual proof of who has not received the COVID-19 vaccine.
The NFL already has different rules for vaccinated and unvaccinated players and personal. Those who are vaccinated have received more freedom and they are not under such a strict protocol.
Some teams have already achieved vaccination rates of over 85 percent. However, a recent report said that at least two teams were below 50 percent. In total, about 73 percent of NFL players are vaccinated.
Such a move would likely lead to harassment and “vaccine embarrassment” among those who are identified as not vaccinated against COVID-19. That may be exactly the kind of response some want to pressure those who resist getting vaccinated. Others are likely to see this as a serious privacy violation.
