On Saturday (March 13), the city of Detroit naturally enjoyed 313 days. However, according to a fan account, it would have been much sweeter if Big Sean’s Detroit mixtape finally hit streaming services as teased last year.
While the project itself didn’t land, 313 Day was marked with news from the man himself that he would be making his way to DSPs after all.
“Next month the Detroit mixtape will be on all streaming services, remixed and properly mastered, finally! Happy 313 day though, ”Sean tweeted.
Detroit It was Sean’s fourth mixtape at the time of its release in 2012, and it came via GOOD Music in the form of a nice old-fashioned DatPiff download. The project caused the site to crash and was viewed more than a million times on the day of its launch. Since then, Detroit mixtape has been downloaded over a million times.
With its arrival in streaming services, Detroit will follow suit with a number of other projects from the golden age of mixtapes that have found new life among fans on their favorite streaming platforms.
More recently, Sean’s other one helped Jhene Aiko upload her own Sail soul (s) Mix tape in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the classic tape.
