Many families in the United States are suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the $ 1,400 stimulus checks, also known as “Stimmys,” offer some kind of relief to those who are out of work and unable to adequately support their families. Today, a man in Indianapolis has been arrested after he took the lives of four people after his son’s mother refused to give him half of his stimulus check.
Malik Halfacre, 25, demanded that his girlfriend give him half of her $ 1,400, but Jeanettrius Moore refused. In turn, Halfacre shot and killed Moore’s 44-year-old mother, her 35-year-old cousin, her 23-year-old brother and even her 7-year-old daughter before being arrested after a 4-hour stop. out with SWAT; almost 24 hours after the quadruple homicide.
Moore’s cousin Wendy Johnson recalled the entire incident.
First he shot Daquan. He shot Anthony. He turned around and shot my Aunt Tomeeka. My aunt Tomeeka said, ‘Malik!’ and shot him again. He came back and shot Daquan a second time and somewhere in between baby Eve was hit somewhere and she was screaming, she was screaming. “
“He went back to the house and that’s when he shot Anthony again when he was coming down the stairs. When he entered the house, that was Jeanettrius’ signal to run for his life, and that is what he did. He ran for his life in traffic through New York Street and knocking on everyone’s doors. ”
Moore managed to escape death by hiding near a neighbor’s house until police arrived. Halfacre fled the scene with him and Moore’s six-month-old son, which he ultimately left unharmed. Halfacre engaged SWAT officers in a nearby attic until he was hit by tear gas from officers.
