The Windows 11 taskbar is getting a “Share” button for teams

Share the Windows team

Microsoft has announced the latest build of Windows 11 Insider Preview. It makes using Microsoft Teams with Windows 11 an even more enjoyable experience, as you can quickly present a window in Teams directly from the taskbar.

You can quickly share content from open app windows directly from the taskbar to the Microsoft Teams meeting with the new feature. This comes shortly after Microsoft has added a mute button to the taskbar that works in Teams, so it appears Microsoft is focused on making its meeting app an integral part of the Windows 11 experience.

In a blog post, Microsoft describes the new feature:

This experience, even starting with Microsoft Teams, eliminates the need to scroll back and forth between applications just to share or re-share a window. There are no interruptions for meeting participants or what they see on the screen – share any open windows during the call.

He will not be alone Microsoft Teams which receives this feature, though. The company said, “Other communication applications can also add this capability to their applications.” This means that if Zoom or Google Meet choose to add support for this feature, it will work there too.

Currently, Microsoft is rolling out the new feature gradually, so you may not see it on your computer even if you’re a member of the Windows 11 Insider Program. If you don’t have it yet, you’ll have to wait a little longer for it to be distributed to you. The company also did not say when the would arrive Windows 11 release version.
