Just use a stamp
If you’re looking for a fuss-free way to achieve your perfect wing, then this is serious. Put an end to your cat eyes Lottie London’s Wing Edition double stamp liner…
This foolproof stamp couldn’t be easier to use. Just line up the stamp with the corner of your eye. Once in place, stomp. Finally, by connecting the wing with the double side of the linear instrument to the upper lash line. This is it!
But if you’re looking for a “how to” method, keep reading.
Scotch will save the day
Using duct tape to create the perfect winged eyeliner may seem a little unconventional, but it’s a brilliant tried and true beauty trick. When time is of the essence, use tape as an impromptu stencil for the perfect click!
Start by tilting a small piece of tape diagonally at the corner of your eye so that it lines up with the end of your eyebrow. Then take the second piece of tape and place it in the center of the eyelid, tilting it diagonally to meet the first piece of tape. Pay close attention to the corners you create as they will serve as the “wing”.
Gently dab your favorite liner onto exposed skin. Don’t worry if the liner accidentally bumps into the tape, that’s what it is for! When you’re done, gently peel off the tape to reveal the perfect winged eyeliner.
To scoop? Yes!
You read that right. A spoon will help create ironed cat eyes. So, head to the kitchen and grab the trusty spoon.
Tighten the handle of the spoon at an angle to the edge of your lower lashes. Draw one line. This will be the bottom half of your wing. Then, take the curved end of the spoon and line it up with your upper lashes. Make sure it connects to the end of your wing. Using your favorite liner, follow the natural curve of the spoon to create the top of the wing. Fill in the wing with eyeliner and extend it to the middle of the lash line.
Connect the dots
The point technique can guarantee a perfect wing every time. So what are you waiting for?
Start by drawing a small dot on the eye’s tear duct. Then draw a second point at the beginning of the iris, a third point above the pupil, a fourth point above the end of the iris, and a fifth point where the whites of the eye end. Now draw another point towards the end of the eyelid crease. Finally, draw the last point in line with the end of the eyebrow, making sure it is higher than all the previous points.
When you’re done drawing all your dots, just connect them. Fill in any empty space and you’re done!
