Tiffany Haddish Says She Lost All Her Jobs After Abuse Claim

The complainants were referred to as “Jane Doe” and “John Doe” in the lawsuit, which indicated their names are being withheld to protect their privacy.

According to the complaint, of which CNN obtained a copy, “Jane Doe” and “John Doe” were 14 and 7 years old, respectively, when Haddish and Spears allegedly engaged them in sexually suggestive videos in separate incidents in 2013 and 2014.

The two are brothers and Haddish was a “long-time family friend” of their mother. The incidents allegedly occurred while Haddish was allegedly trying to help young people break into show business, according to the lawsuit.

At the time the lawsuit was filed, an attorney for Haddish said in a statement to CNN that the plaintiff’s mother “has been trying to assert these false claims against Ms. Haddish for several years.”

“All of the attorneys who initially took up her case, and there were several, eventually dropped the matter once it became clear that the claims had no merit and that Ms. Haddish would not be intimidated,” the statement read, and adds that the mother “has her adult daughter representing herself in this lawsuit. The two will face the consequences of carrying out this frivolous action together.”

Jane Doe filed a dismissal notice Tuesday and the case was dismissed with prejudice based on documentation provided to CNN by a Haddish representative. Dismissal with prejudice means that the case cannot be refiled.

“My family and I have known Tiffany Haddish for many years, and now we know that she would never hurt me or my brother or help anyone do anything that could hurt us,” Doe said in a statement to TMZ. “We wish Tiffany the best and are glad we can all put this behind us.”

CNN has reached out to “Jane Doe” for comment.

Lawyers for Haddish and Spears have not responded to CNN requests for comment.

Asked by TMZ if she thought the firing would help her, Haddish replied, “I don’t know, bro. I don’t have a job.”

In another TMZ video, the actress said she was “concerned about the kids and making sure they were okay,” adding that she was “relieved” the lawsuit was dropped and did not speak to Spears.
