New activations are on hold.

Just three years after its release, the TiVo Stream 4K is really starting to show its age. But your latest issue is a bit strange: Due to a website redesign, TiVo accidentally interrupted the Stream 4K setup process. This problem ought it will be resolved on July 5, fortunately.
This strange situation was first reported by Zatz is not funny after users shared their frustration on the TiVo forum. Basically, new customers trying to set up their TiVo Stream 4K are directed to an activation page, which is currently under maintenance. (And yes, you’ll also encounter this problem if you factory reset a TiVo Stream 4K.)
The good news is that TiVo’s web maintenance should be finished on July 5th. But let’s be honest, this is quite an amateur problem. And while some customers do complain, the actual number of complaints is quite low, a sign that very few people are buying TiVo Stream 4K.
I should point out that the TiVo Stream app (a streaming aggregate and channel guide) recently lost its integration with Sling TV. And, earlier this year, TiVo Stream 4K users experienced a “black screen” error that rendered the device unusable.
If you’re having trouble with TiVo Stream 4K, it might be time to move on. But I want to be clear: all Android TV devices seem to be riddled with annoying bugs. Even the NVIDIA Shield, a very expensive product, likes to perform.
