We don’t know what Trumo did with the US intelligence secrets in those stolen documents. He took so many documents and hid them in so many places that there is no way for investigators to know if the contents of any of those documents were sold or shown to adversaries. In the history of the United States, no president has put the national security of our country at risk like Donald Trump has. His demeanor is so un-American that it’s laughable to think that anyone would believe that this false image of him hugging the US flag meant that he cared about America. The charlatan stunt of him selling himself as a patriotic protector of America’s values and security is a national humiliation only the cult believes. THE MEDIA NEEDS TO STOP TRAINING THE BASE BY CONSTANTLY REFERRING TO THEM AS POWERFUL DEALERS OF THE FUTURE OF THE AMERICAS. On the tape, Trump is heard asking female employees and writers to “watch this,” referring to a document revealing discussions by General Milley about the possibility of taking military action against Iran. The women giggle and giggle like high school girls at Trump’s jokes about his mishandling of classified documents. Trump is heard saying, “not cool,” referring to his possession of these military documents that he admits are “secret” and classified. The tape proves that he intended to take those documents and that he understood the declassification process. His inaccurate claims that he had the legal right to take government-owned documents based on the Presidential Records Act reveals just how stupid and manipulative he is. His public statements on all the charges against him are sufficient evidence to convict him. Anyone who believes they are mentally competent to be president should lose their right to vote. If we’re going to allow Trump and his Republican allies to attack our democracy, let’s fight back and change democracy and take the vote away from racists, autocrats and star-struck unpatriots. If we’re going to dismantle democracy, at least let’s be consistent.
Trump’s ignorance or indifference about how to protect America from our enemies has continued during and since his presidency. Throughout his presidency, Trump has congratulated Putin for being “strong.” He believed Putin about the US intelligence community’s assessment of Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election. He also hosted Foreign Minister Lavrov and Ambassador Kislyak at the White House in the Oval Office a few days after he fired FBI Director James Comey, who was leading the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. Was this move to befriend Russia because of his dream of building a Trump tower in Moscow?
THE STOLEN DOCUMENTS CHARGES AGAINST TRUMP HAVE RESTARTED THE FEAR THAT TRUMP IS WILLING TO BE A FRIEND WITH ENEMIES IF IT WILL EARN HIM MONEY OR ADMIRATION. THE CLUB THAT MOST WANTS TO BE PART OF TRUMP IS THE DICTATOR’S CLUB WHICH GUARANTEES A LIFETIME OF POWER AND REGULATION WITHOUT CONTROL OVER A COUNTRY. IT IS FEARED THAT HE MAY HAVE CONSIDERED SELLING OR SHARING INFORMATION FROM THE DOCUMENTS FOR PERSONAL GAIN.
Republican members of Congress and Republican voters, in word and deed, support an autocracy where there is no Constitution, and the president has ultimate power only if that president is a Republican. That is not a democracy, and the MAGA movement should show some courage and publicly admit that they no longer want America to be a democracy.
The stolen document tape is the nail in the coffin of Trump’s years-long crime wave. As former Attorney General Barr said, “it’s fried.” The media exaggerate the power of his base. They are marginal and also an endangered breed.
