Actress Charlie Dizon considers her TV series, “Viral Scandal,” a revelation to social media users and netizens.
In addition to being timely, the series is socially relevant, Dizon said during a press conference for the series on Nov.11. He thinks it’s important for people to be kind and compassionate when giving their opinions online, because apart from people who are viral posts, the whole online environment is concerned.
Dizon also wants people to be aware of the things they download and share from the web.
“You can download on social media and other online platforms and download photos, videos and viral news at any time. Hindi na tayo nakakapagkita-kita in person dahil nga may pandemya pa and ‘yun lang ang nababalitaan natin, “he said, believing that if we see all the negative on social media it will affect our mental health.
(Be very careful what you download from social media and other online platforms, as well as share photos, videos, and viral news, because it’s hard these days. We don’t see each other again due to the ongoing pandemic, and [what we see online] are the only things we hear about.)
In the series, Dizon plays the role of Rica, who is finishing her internship in an architectural firm and is about to take her graduation exam when she gets involved in a viral video. Praise her character’s determination to reject negative criticism.
“Every day ay lumalaban si Rica. Everything related to the country is nilalabanan niya talaga. Sana makuha nila ‘yung tapang ni Rica during’ yung voyage na ‘yon, “she said. (Every day, Rica fights. She fights against anything thrown at her. I hope people are moved by Rica’s courage during that. voyage.)
When asked about the similarities and differences in Rica’s character versus her own personality, Dizon said Rica’s character is very complex.
“Masyado siyang maraming pinagdadaanan. Siguro ‘yun’ yung hindi pa ako maka-relate talaga kasi hindi naman ganoon ‘yung pinagdadaanan ko like Charlie. ” I feel when I’m Charlie.)
What he can relate to, however, is Rica’s courage.
“Siguro ang pinakanakaka-relate ako talaga is’ yung tapang niya. Hindi siya patatalo in all binabato in Kanya, “he said.
(Perhaps what I can relate to the most is her courage. She won’t allow herself to be beaten by anything thrown at her.)
“Viral Scandal” also stars Dimples Romana, Jake Cuenca and Maxene Magalona, among others, and can be seen via Kapamilya Channel, TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC and TFC IPTV starting November 15th. JB
