EDMONTON, Alberta, June 11, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Visionstate Corp. (TSXV: VIS) (“Visionstate” or the “Company”), a company that develops and invests in the research and development of promising new technologies in the Internet of things, big data and analytics, and sustainability, today announces the resignation of two directors, Paul Fairbridge and Debra Williams, effective righ now . Both Paul and Debra have been dedicated and helpful in their roles on the Company’s Board of Directors for many years prior to their decision to retire due to personal reasons.
Paul Fairbridge helped guide the company through some very challenging years. Now that the Company is sufficiently funded and profitable, Paul is comfortable leaving his job as President of Visionstate to pursue his goals of retiring and traveling more. A personal friend of Putters and a retired executive at Ivanhoe Cambridge, one of Canada’s largest shopping center operators, Paul is eager to see his investment in the company grow from the sidelines.
Debra Williams contributed significantly to Visionstate’s growth over the course of several years, including the introduction and administration of the first installment agreement for Visionstate’s flagship WANDA ™ product. A master of implementation management along with customer service, Debra has decided to spend more time with her family, especially her three young grandchildren. As a large investor in Visionstate, Debra will closely follow the Company’s progress.
John Putters, President and CEO, commented, “While departure news is never welcome, management also has the opportunity to make room for other talents to step in when managers move on to pursue other passions. I can’t begin to explain how honored we have been to have these talented people help Visionstate for so many years. Everyone at Visionstate sincerely thanks both Paul and Debra and always wishes them good health and happiness. We, in turn, are now looking to hire a new board member to provide a benchmark strength to help take the Company to the next chapter. ”
