2021 is off to a record start, with sales of the Group’s subscription products hitting all-time highs during the first half of the year. VistaJet sold more than 8,000 new annual subscription hours, a 67% increase over 2020 figures and a 41% increase over 2019 levels. XO depository members increased 82%, with three times more sales in the period compared to 2020.
The Group’s On Demand services also performed well during the period, with year-on-year growth of 67% in all markets and 55% more than in 2019.
Vista is the world’s largest on-demand charter provider by flight hours, and the Group has seen a 67% year-on-year increase in global flight hours across all of its operating companies. This trend accelerated in the second quarter of 2021 when Vista saw an increase in demand over and above pre-pandemic flights.
Regionally, the Middle East saw a 153% increase in flying hours, with North America and Europe registering 76% and 41% respectively. As the market remained open for domestic flights, business travel recovered and international flights resumed in June, North America continues to account for the majority of total group departures at 71%.
