Apple TV + has ordered a direct series adaptation of “Strange Planet” with Dan Harmon and Nathan Pyle serving as executive producers.
The webcomic “Strange Planet” features cute blue aliens who perform everyday tasks, but describe them in strange language. Nathan Pyle, creator of the webcomic, and Dan Harmon, co-creator of “Rick and Morty,” serve as executive producers of the show.
According to Term, the series is produced by Apple Studios and the animation studio ShadowMachine, responsible for “Bojack Horseman.” The showrunner is Amalia Levari, known for “Joe Pera talks to you.”
No further details of the series have been shared. This animated series order follows Apple’s success with “Central Park,” which will begin its second season on Friday.
Apple TV Plus costs $ 4.99 per month alone and is included in any Apple One tier.
