Twitter: not once.
Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas is currently in rehab after undergoing very, very surprisingly ankle surgery at the end of the offseason, and now Thomas is expected to miss the start of the season for that. .
Amid reports that Thomas has been ignoring Bronze phone calls from New Orleans this offseason, Thomas sent a cryptic tweet on Monday that appears to indicate there may be something hidden from the organization’s side.

“They tried to damage your reputation. You tried to save theirs without telling your version of events,” the tweet reads.
But what does all this mean, Basil?
At first glance, it appears that Thomas is sub-tweeting the Saints, saying that he will not actually reveal what the Saints supposedly did (or didn’t do) this offseason that could be potentially damning for the organization.
With recent reports indicating that Thomas was not responding to New Orleans‘Called in the last few months during the offseason, Thomas may be trying to paint the other side in a negative light to save face for a bad decision. Or maybe New Orleans has really done something wrong or mishandled the situation from the start.
Thomas reportedly sought a second opinion that did not require surgery on his injured ankle, but team doctors suggested that he have surgery in January. Finally, Thomas chose not to have surgery after a meeting with the team in March. The lack of communication continued.
Thomas finally opted for surgery in June, leaving the start of the season in doubt for the veteran.
Things look tough for Thomas and the Saints right now. We’ll see if New Orleans responds via a passive aggressive Instagram post in the next few days.
