Chelsea Finch, the brains behind the district coffee group are heading towards the City for his latest adventure Where’s Fred’s, and he’s covering all the bases since he’ll be serving specialty coffees and brunch during the day and low-intervention wine and Mediterranean-inspired dishes at night. The menu of the day will include pan con tomate with fried eggs, truffle egg croissants, Fred’s loaded banana bread, a selection of sarny’s made with bread from The Snapery Bakery and a hot lunch dish such as spaghetti clams or steak and vintage cheddar pie.

Then the menu will morph into small plates for the evening, with dishes including cheese platters, Cobble Lane charcuterie platters, Kilpatrick oysters (with bacon, butter and Worcestershire sauce), burrata with roasted pumpkin and pesto, and cannellini beans with kale. and Parmesan. Emma Underwood helped with the wine list, curating a selection of mostly low-intervention European wines with many available by the glass and two on tap, with the Origin Coffee served during the day and also used to make espresso martinis at night. – yes you won’t be thirsty at Where’s Fred’s.
