Rose water is one of the most underrated products in your skincare regimen. Not only does it help you calm down after being exhausted from a lot of stress, but it is also a great encouragement, especially during the summer. This works great too in the fight against various skin related problems like fatigue, anxiety and dryness.
Below, Akshit Goel, Co-Founder and Director of TNW-The Natural Wash, explains why we need to add rose water to our skincare routine.
It is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.
When summer comes, we also know that it comes with many problems related to our skin. Some of these conditions include redness and inflammation. “The cause can be several factors, such as an allergic reaction or a dysfunction of the immune system, but a safe solution is rose water,” says Goel.
Rose water helps reduce redness and inflammation and also improves complexion with regular use. It does this by maintaining the pH balance of the skin and controlling excess oil and dirt.
Helps heal your skin.
“By including rose water in your daily skin routine during the summer, you can effectively reduce blackheads, whiteheads, acne and pimples. Because it is very moisturizing, it also helps fight the first signs of wrinkles and fine lines, ”he further explains.
Experts believe that rose water is also a powerful mood enhancer and has a very calming effect by making you feel relaxed.
Rose water is perfect as a facial mist
With temperatures slowly rising, what we need to get through the day is cool, fresh rose water. Goel suggests: “Whenever you are exhausted and realize the need to feel refreshed, you can opt for some rose water.”
You can also include it in your CTM routine. All you have to do is after cleansing, take rose water on your cotton pad and gently pat it on your face or just spray it directly. “Even if there is makeup on the face, a little spray on it will make the face look more radiant,” he added.
It works great for your hair and scalp.
During the summer, our scalp tends to feel dry. This often results in dandruff and this is where rose water comes to your rescue because it is also a mild astringent. “Rose water reduces dandruff and oil, for those who suffer from conditions such as psoriasis and eczema,” he adds.
