Then one night he just saved his head during the live performance. “I’m looking at that girl and I’m like, ‘Got it. I get it. You won’t have this problem outside of me anymore. Let’s go, baby. We can go.”
Will was talking about fatherhood as part of Jay-Z’s “Footnotes” for the release of his own album for “4:44”, and in particular his track “Adnis”, inspired by Jay’s relationship with his own father, Adnes Reeves.
“For me, it was that soldier pushing and not paying any attention to what was going on emotionally with this beautiful creature in front of me,” Will recalled. “And that was the first part of the collapse of my father’s suit that I was wearing that was not mine.”

This time around, fans had already seen the look on social media, as Willow’s daring move on stage inspired her mother and “Red Table Talk” co-star Jada to follow suit. And this time, more than as an act of rebellion against the tour, Willow did it on stage, during that song, as a declaration that she was in full control of her career and trajectory.
Jada shaved her head and the women shared their shaved looks in a beautiful mother-daughter Instagram post on July 12.
“Willow made me do it because it was time to let it go,” she captioned the image. “BUT … my 50’s about to be divinely lit with this shed.”
